Hector Moreno 'to visit Luke Shaw in hospital after breaking United star's leg'

Hector Moreno will reportedly visit Luke Shaw in an Eindhoven hospital today after he broke the Manchester United full-back's leg in Tuesday's Champions League meeting.

PSV Eindhoven defender Hector Moreno is reportedly planning to visit Luke Shaw in hospital today after he broke the Manchester United full-back's leg during this week's Champions League match.

Shaw is expected to be sidelined for at least six months after he underwent surgery in a hospital in Eindhoven on Tuesday night.

The 20-year-old was left in tears when a tackle from Moreno during United's 2-1 defeat fractured his leg in two places.

Moreno has since apologised to the England international, but it is believed that the Mexican footballer will go one step further by visiting Shaw in hospital.

PSV sporting director Marcel Brands told ESPN Deportes: "He has not yet [visited Shaw], but he will likely visit him [on Thursday]."

Moreno, who was named man of the match by UEFA, suffered a similar leg break in last year's World Cup in a game against the Netherlands.
