Hernandez taken to hospital with fracture

The Mexican Football Federation has confirmed that Javier Hernandez will seek hospital treatment on a suspected broken collarbone.

The Manchester United forward suffered the injury after being pushed by Honduras defender Brayan Beckeles during Mexico's Gold Cup warm-up goalless draw in Houston.

Hernandez landed on his shoulder and is a doubt for Mexico's Gold Cup campaign, which gets underway next Thursday against Guatemala.

The Federation tweeted after the match on Wednesday to confirm that Hernandez, who was recently linked with a move to Liverpool, will be assessed in hospital.
