Man United injury, suspension news vs. Leicester: Patrick Dorgu, Harry Maguire, Mason Mount updates

Any fitness boosts for Amorim? Man United injury, suspension news vs. Leicester

Manchester United will be aiming to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they head to Leicester City on Sunday evening.

The Red Devils have had a disastrous campaign in England's top flight, with a total of 34 points from 28 matches leaving them down in 14th spot in the Premier League table.

However, Ruben Amorim's side will enter this match off the back of an excellent result and performance, beating Real Sociedad 4-1 in the Europa League on Thursday night to book their spot in the quarter-finals of the competition.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's injury and suspension news ahead of their contest with Leicester, who are 19th in the division, six points behind 17th-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Lisandro Martinez

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Martinez suffered a severe knee injury during Man United's Premier League match against Crystal Palace on February 2, and the Argentina international, who has undergone an operation, is now expected to be on the sidelines for the remainder of 2025.

Luke Shaw

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: Unknown

Shaw has only made three appearances this season due to ongoing injury problems, and the England international recently had a setback in his recovery from his latest issue; a return date for the 29-year-old is therefore still unclear.

Mason Mount

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: March 16 (vs. Leicester)

Mount has been out since the middle of December with a thigh problem, but the Englishman is now back in first-team training, and Amorim has said that he is preparing to name the attacker on the bench for this match.

Jonny Evans

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: Unknown

Experienced centre-back Evans is not currently available for selection due to a muscular problem.

Altay Bayindir

Status: Out Type of injury: Unspecified Possible return date: Unknown

Bayindir has missed Man United's last eight matches due to an unspecified issue, and the Turkey international remains unavailable.

Tom Heaton

Status: Out Type of injury: Unspecified Possible return date: Unknown

Heaton has missed Man United's last eight matches due to an unspecified issue, and the club's number three goalkeeper is again out for this game, with a return date unclear at this stage of proceedings.

Kobbie Mainoo

Status: Out Type of injury: Calf Possible return date: April 1 (vs. Nottingham Forest)

Mainoo picked up a calf injury in training last month, but the midfielder could be back after the international break.

Amad Diallo

Status: Out Type of injury: Ankle Possible return date: Unknown

Amad suffered an ankle injury during a recent training session, which had seemingly ended this season, but Amorim has said that the Ivorian could yet feature before the end of the campaign.

Leny Yoro

Status: Out Type of injury: Foot Possible return date: April 1 (vs. Nottingham Forest)

Yoro picked up a foot injury during the Premier League clash against Arsenal last weekend, and the Frenchman will not be available for selection until after the international break.

Harry Maguire

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Knock Possible return date: March 16 (vs. Leicester)

Maguire was again sidelined against Real Sociedad due to a knock, but the centre-back has a chance of being back in the squad for the contest against his former club this weekend.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Patrick Dorgu

Possible return date: April 1 (vs. Nottingham Forest)

Dorgu will again be suspended for Man United this weekend due to the red card that he picked up against Ipswich Town on February 26, but he will be available again after the international break.
