Good evening everyone! The FA Cup returns this weekend with plenty of clubs across the country still dreaming of making it to Wembley at the end of May. To kick things off we are at the Abbey Stadium, where League Two outfit Cambridge United will be hoping to pull off a shock against Manchester United.

It has been quite a while since the Reds last won the trophy, but Louis van Gaal will be confident of guiding his side to success in his debut season. They reached the fourth round by beating Yeovil Town three weeks ago and once again face an away clash against lower league opposition.

Man Utd may not have won the cup since 2004, but it has been 15 years since Cambridge reached even the fourth round. A 2-1 win against League Two rivals Luton Town in round three set up this dream match and the chance for the U's to write themselves into football folklore.

TEAM NEWS: Right, let's start with the headline news that Wayne Rooney is not even in the squad for the Reds this evening. There is still plenty of class in their team, with Radamel Falcao and Angel Di Maria both starting. James Wilson gets another chance to impress up front, while Adnan Januzaj makes a rare appearance. Meanwhile, the hosts name an unchanged lineup, with former United player Luke Chadwick returning to the bench.

Some people may be expecting Man Utd to record a comfortable win tonight, but you only have to look back to the opening weeks of the season to see that they haven't had everything their own way. Following a defeat against Swansea and a draw against Sunderland in the Premier League, they travelled to League One side MK Dons in the League Cup and it was unthinkable what the final result would be.

Despite having the likes of David de Gea, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez on the pitch, the Reds slumped to a 4-0 defeat, leaving Van Gaal in an uncomfortable position after just three games in the job. Of course a number of key players were rested, but it did not disguise such a disappointing night for one of the world's biggest clubs.

However, they have gradually improved over recent months and their defeat against Southampton two weeks ago has been their only loss in 13 games. They are currently fourth in the league table, and although they are probably out of the title race, they are well placed to make a return to the Champions League next season.

I have mentioned that it has been a while since they won the FA Cup, with their last success coming in 2004, when they beat Millwall 3-0 in the final. Ruud van Nistelrooy scored twice that day, while a certain Cristiano Ronaldo also found the net, in what was a man-of-the-match display from the current World Player of the Year.

They have reached a couple of finals since, but on each occasion they were beaten by London opposition. In 2005, the then-holders were defeated in a penalty shootout against Arsenal, despite being the better side that day in Cardiff. Two years later they played Chelsea in the first final at the new Wembley Stadium and were undone by Didier Drogba's extra-time winner.

Lets' take a look at the home side now, who will be looking to pull off one of the most memorable upsets the cup has ever seen. They have won all three of their matches this year and currently sit 12th in the League Two table, just six points outside of the promotion places.

They actually won promotion from the Conference Premier last season, after finishing second behind Luton in the league table. Staying in their current division is of course the main priority, but a positive result tonight against United would really cap what has been a wonderful year for the club.

While the U's haven't been as successful as tonight's opponents in the FA Cup, they did manage to reach the quarter-finals in 1990 and 1991. On the first of those occasions they were denied a place in the semi-finals following a 1-0 defeat by Crystal Palace and a year later they went down 2-1 against First Division champions Arsenal at Highbury.

It's no surprise that Man Utd and Cambridge haven't played each other too often, given the huge difference between the teams. The only two meetings were in the second round of the League Cup in 1991, back when the competition used to be a two-legged affair. United cruised to a 3-0 win in the first leg, while Cambridge managed to hold their illustrious visitors to a 1-1 draw in the return match. The Reds would go on to lift the trophy that season, so maybe they will see tonight's match as a good omen for them.

PREDICTION: I'm sure that plenty of people will be hoping for a huge upset tonight, but I just can't see it happening. United may still be adapting to Van Gaal's way of playing and they will be in for a tough match, but they should have too much quality to beat Cambridge. So, for those reasons I am going to tip the Reds to claim a 2-0 victory this evening.

This is not the only clash of the weekend where a Premier League faces lower league opponents and Sports Mole has been looking to see if there could be any potential upsets in store.

Right, here come the players out of the tunnel and into a packed Abbey Stadium! The fans are in full voice and it really is a great atmosphere with just three minutes left until the big kick off!

KICKOFF! We are underway at the Abbey Stadium!

As you would expect, the Reds are seeing plenty of the ball in these early stages as they look to stamp their dominance on the game. They haven't managed to create any goalscoring opportunities just yet, with the home side doing a good job of putting them under pressure.

Cambridge threaten for the first time when Elliott gets onto a long ball over the top and wins a corner from Rojo. They get plenty of men forward and the ball into the box is decent, but United are able to clear without too many problems.

WIDE! It's Cambridge who have the first decent chance of the match when they win a free kick on the left-hand touchline. Donaldson takes the set piece and manages to pick out Elliott, but the striker can only glance his header wide of the far post.

SAVE! Finally the visitors show their attacking intent and force Dunn into a save. Blind is freed down the left and he cuts inside before trying to whip one across the box. His initial effort is blocked, but the ball comes straight back to him and he drills in a low strike that is touched behind by the keeper at his near post.

CHANCE! The hosts are looking dangerous from set pieces and Hughes almost finds the net when he meets a corner and tries to direct a volley into the corner, but the ball ends up heading wide of the post. It really has been a great start to the match from the U's.

We haven't seen too much of Falcao in the early stages, but the striker only needs a brief moment to make the difference. He is almost in behind when Di Maria floats a decent ball over the top that is just slightly too far ahead of him and moments later he blasts in a strike from the edge of the box that deflects behind for a corner.

Di Maria is starting to see a lot more of the ball now, but his final ball is just letting him down at the moment. His team haven't quite found their best form yet and quite a few passes in the midfield are going astray.

Jones almost costs his side a goal when a poor pass from the back is intercepted by Donaldson. The Cambridge man then takes a touch and looks to charge into the box, but Jones gets back to cover and clear the ball to safety before he can get a shot away.

SHOT! Valencia springs into life down the right and he charges forward before whipping a decent ball into the middle. It is only cleared to the edge of the box where Januzaj arrives and tries to place a low strike into the corner, but his effort ends up going straight into the keeper's gloves.

Donaldson is having a great game for the hosts and he wins the ball in the centre of the pitch, before driving past a couple of United challenges. He then looks to slide in Kaikai out wide, but the final pass is too strong and heads out for a throw.

YELLOW CARD! Fellaini picks up the first booking of the evening for a foul on Kaikai.

CHANCE! What a huge moment in the game this is for Cambridge. Once again they cause United problems from a corner and Nelson wins the ball in the air. His header is blocked on the line by his teammate Coulson, who then heads inches over the bar from close range after the ball had bounced back to him.

SHOT! Di Maria blasted an effort out of the stadium a few minutes ago, but this time he opts to curl in a low strike after being found by Blind on the edge of the box. His attempt is initially spilled by Dunn, but the keeper manages to recover and stop the ball from going behind for a corner.

As we approach the end of the half, it is Cambridge who are on the front foot and they have looked dangerous in the final third. United just haven't got going yet and if they don't take the lead before the break then I'm sure Van Gaal will be thinking of a few changes.

Well, this would have been a huge slice of luck for the visitors. Di Maria fires in a low drive from outside the box that doesn't look as if it will cause the keeper any problems, but it takes a slight deflection. Fortunately for Cambridge, the ball ended up not too far away from Dunn, who was able to quickly recover and hold on to the shot.

SHOT! It hasn't quite been Di Maria's night so far and he steps up to take a free kick from around 25 yards out, before behind the ball wide of the post. It never looked like troubling the keeper and the former Real Madrid man is capable of much better.

There is going to be just one minute of added time.

The first half comes to an end with the game still goalless in Cambridge. The hosts will be the far happier with their display, while United have struggled to create any real goalscoring chances of note.

United may have seen more of the ball with a huge 72% of the possession, but they really haven't done much with it. They have also had eight strikes on goal compared to three from Cambridge, with most of those coming from long range.

The Reds may not be too disappointed at how things have gone for them this evening, as they have only scored one first-half goal in their past six games. There are also a few players that could come off the bench and make their mark, with Robin van Persie and Ander Herrera the most likely choices for Louis van Gaal.

Cambridge take the kick off for the second half and get the match back underway!

SHOT! Januzaj has the first effort on goal of the half when a cross from Jones is headed into his direction. He takes a touch and drills in a low strike from a tight angle, but the keeper does well to dive on the ball and make the stop.

United are seeing the ball much higher up the pitch since the break and there is a lot more urgency in their play. Their passing game has also improved, but so far Cambridge are holding firm and are still putting in a great deal of effort.

SUBSTITUTION: The hosts make the first change of the evening, with Dunk coming on for Kaikai.

It's all United at the moment and Cambridge just can't get a touch of the ball. The hosts are being pegged back right on the edge of their own box with everyone behind the ball as the Reds keep trying to find a way through their packed defence.

The fans around the ground call for a penalty as Elliott goes down in the box after a tussle with Jones. It looked as if both players were holding each other and the referee makes the right choice to just award United a goal kick.

SAVE! Falcao has been pretty quiet this evening, but he almost gives United the lead here. He is picked out by a great pass from Carrick on the edge of the box and he then takes a brilliant first touch to send himself through on goal. The striker manages to get a low shot away under pressure from the defence, but Dunn is there to make a fine save and turn the ball over the bar.

YELLOW CARD! Wilson is the second player to go into the referee's notebook for a clumsy challenge on Elliot, after he had taken a heavy touch.

DOUBLE SUBSTITUTION: Here are those changes for United that I mentioned at the break. Van Persie and Herrera are both coming on for the Reds, with Fellaini and Wilson heading off.

CHANCE! It's another big chance for one of United's star strikers. Di Maria lifts a delightful pass over the top for Van Persie and the Dutchman waits for the ball to bounce before smashing in a half-volley, but his strike ends up heading well over the bar. That really was the type of position the Dutchman is renowned for scoring from.

The Reds are starting to win plenty of set pieces now, but the hosts are dealing with everything that has come their way so far. As things stand, the U's are around 16 minutes plus stoppage time away from clinching a replay at Old Trafford.

SUBSTITUTION: What a great moment this is for Chadwick. The former United player is on for the final stages of the match, with Hughes heading off.

Still United look for a way through and Di Maria combines with Herrera down the right, before driving a low ball across the box. Van Persie and Falcao were in there, but the hosts stand strong once more to get the ball clear.

Januzaj is another United player that would have wanted to impress this evening and he gets to the byline before flashing a great ball right across the six-yard box. However, none of his teammates were there to get on the end of the cross and it goes harmlessly out for a throw.

For the first time in the second half Cambridge threaten their opponents goal and they win a corner when Jones is forced to head behind Donaldon's great centre. They look to cause panic from the resulting set piece, but De Gea comes out to get a firm hand on the ball and punch it away from danger.

SUBSTITUTION: The visitors make their final change of the match, with Shaw coming on for Blind.

There are just a few minutes left for Cambridge to hang on, but Falcao has a slight chance for the visitors when he is picked out by Di Maria's cross. It was just a bit too high for him though and he couldn't direct it goalwards, with the ball heading harmlessly over the bar.

There are going to be three minutes of stoppage time. Will it be enough for either side to find a late winner?

CHANCE! United almost snatch the win right at the death as Januzaj fires in a low strike that takes a deflection and is punched away by the keeper. Dunn can only clear the ball to Di Maria on the edge of the box and the Argentine then fizzes in a low strike that is brilliantly saved again by the keeper.

Cambridge have done it! They've managed to hold on and secure a replay against Manchester United. What a result this is for the League Two side, who fully deserve everything that has come their way this evening.

The players are understandably delighted and the fans are celebrating as if they've won the cup! As for United, they will be disappointed that they were unable to break down their opponents and will now hope to get the job done at Old Trafford.
