Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Roma

Man United injury, suspension list vs. Roma

Manchester United will be looking to complete the job when they travel to Italy for the second leg of their Europa League semi-final tie with Roma on Thursday.

The Red Devils were 6-2 winners in last week's reverse fixture at Old Trafford thanks to a second-half blitz led by Edinson Cavani.

United enter the game with a full week's rest, too, as Sunday's Premier League clash with Liverpool was postponed for safety reasons after supporters protested inside Old Trafford.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the trip to Rome.

Phil Jones

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Phil Jones has not been included in a United squad since February 2020 because of a long-term knee problem. The centre-back will not play again this season and may well be on his way out of Old Trafford in the summer.

Anthony Martial

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Of more concern to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be the absence of Martial, who sustained a knee injury while on international duty with France in March. The forward was initially ruled out for the season, but he was pictured walking without a leg brace last week and may yet feature before the end of the campaign.

Daniel James

Status: Out Type of injury: Unknown Possible return date: May 9 (vs. Aston Villa)

Daniel James was in line to start Thursday's clash in Rome, but he was not included in United's travelling squad for unspecified reasons.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man United have no suspension issues heading into the second leg with Roma.
