Phil Jones has conceded that the Manchester United squad have "massively" missed playing in this season's Champions League.
Last term's seventh-place finish meant that there has been no European football at Old Trafford for the first time since 1990.
However, having all but secured their return to Europe's top club competition, centre-back Jones has admitted that it has been a "disappointing" 12 months.
"We've missed it massively. There's nothing like a European night when the Champions League music comes on," he told the club's official website.
"But to have been sitting there and watching it this season, without being a part of it, has been disappointing."
United will guarantee their spot in the top four of the Premier League by avoiding defeat against Arsenal on Sunday.
