Phil Jones ruled out for Manchester United

Phil Jones has been ruled out of Manchester United's Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Tuesday.

The news was confirmed by United boss Sir Alex Ferguson in his pre-match press conference ahead of the second leg of their last-16 tie with Spanish outfit.

When questioned on the availability of Jones, who missed training on Monday, Ferguson told reporters: "He's not fit. He won't be fit for tomorrow."

Jones has been suffering with an ankle injury in recent weeks.
