Phil Jones: Ryan Giggs is "an inspiration"

Manchester United defender Phil Jones has hailed Ryan Giggs as an "inspiration".

The Welsh winger featured in his 148th Champions League game against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday and proved crucial in the Red Devils' 5-0 win at the BayArena.

"He's incredible, he's one of the fittest players still in the team," Jones told ESPN. "He just keeps on going, keeps on running and keeps on putting in performances like that.

"He's an inspiration to any young footballer growing up. He's been there done it and worn the t-shirt several times over - he's a great person to have around."

United have secured their place in the last 16 of the competition from Group A.
