Alexander Buttner relishing Champions League football with Manchester United

Alexander Buttner is determined to feature in the Champions League regularly for Manchester United this season.

The defender started the Red Devils' Group H clash against Sporting Braga at Old Trafford on Tuesday in place of Patrice Evra at left-back.

"[Champions League] is a higher level," he said. "It was my first game and I want to play high-level football.

"Patrice is also good. If he plays, it's okay. I watch him and how he plays, and I learn from that.

"On the training ground, we speak to each other a lot. We play in the same position, we both are left-backs."

United won 3-2 against Braga to remain top of their group with three wins from three matches.
