Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Paris Saint-Germain

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Tuesday's Champions League encounter with Paris Saint-Germain.

Manchester United begin their 2020-21 Champions League campaign with a trip to France to face Paris Saint-Germain.

While Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team have endured a mixed start to the season, Saturday's 4-1 victory at Newcastle United has moved the club closer to the mid-table spots in the Premier League table.

However, the quick turnaround, as well as Sunday's encounter against Chelsea, leaves Solskjaer with important decisions to make regarding his starting lineup for this contest.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the trip to Parc des Princes, the home of last season's runners-up.

Edinson Cavani

Status: Out
Type of injury: Lack of fitness
Possible return date: October 24 (vs. Chelsea)

After completing a period of self-isolation, Cavani has started training with his new teammates. However, Solskjaer has ruled out the possibility of the Uruguayan making his debut against his former club.

Harry Maguire

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: October 24 (vs. Chelsea)

Despite being regarded as a doubt ahead of the Newcastle game, Maguire played the full 90 minutes at St James' Park. However, the England international is another player who has not travelled to France for this fixture.

Mason Greenwood

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: October 24 (vs. Chelsea)

Although he missed out on representing England, Greenwood sustained a knock in United training which prevented him from featuring against the Magpies. The academy graduate will not be a part of the squad for this encounter.

Eric Bailly

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: October 24 (vs. Chelsea)

With Maguire unavailable for the contest at the Parc des Princes, Solskjaer would have used Bailly as his replacement. However, the Ivorian has also been ruled out of the meeting with the Ligue 1 giants.

Phil Jones

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Versatile defender Phil Jones has not featured for United since January due to a long-term knee problem. Regardless of any lingering injury issue, the Englishman has not been included in United's squad for this competition.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

With Anthony Martial's three-match ban only applying to domestic fixtures, United have no suspension issues heading into this contest.
