Barcelona's Marc-Andre ter Stegen: 'I've not agreed to join Manchester City'

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen denies reports that he has agreed to join Manchester City.

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has denied reports that he has agreed to join Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old, who has been linked to a number of Premier League clubs including Liverpool and Manchester United, recently admitted that he was unhappy at not being given regular playing time.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has rotated his goalkeepers throughout the season, with Ter Stegen playing in the Champions League and Copa del Rey games, and Claudio Bravo taking the number one spot in La Liga.

It was recently rumoured that Ter Stegen was close to agreeing a move to Man City, but the player himself has denied that a deal has been struck with incoming City boss Pep Guardiola.

"It's not true that I have signed for Manchester City," Ter Stegen told radio show Al Primar Toque. "At the end of the season we will see what the situation is, and we can talk again then, OK? We have so many games at the moment, and that is all I can say [for now].

"For me the most important thing is to play well, and that we win all our games. Barcelona is an incredible team. I cannot say any more. We will see how it all turns out."

The shot-stopper joined Barca from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2014.
