Report: Manchester United, Manchester City battle for Dayot Upamecano signature

Manchester City have made an offer for Manchester United target Dayot Upamecano, according to reports.

United had previously agreed a fee for the 16-year-old defender, but the Daily Mail claims that City are now favourites for his signature.

The player, who plays for French club Valenciennes, is thought to be available for around £250,000.

He was part of the France Under-17 squad that won the European Championships in May.
