Manchester City centre-back Aymeric Laporte is a target for Barcelona, according to a report.

Barcelona will reportedly continue with their pursuit of Aymeric Laporte after learning that the centre-back has doubts over his future at Manchester City.

The 27-year-old made just 27 appearances for City in all competitions last season after falling behind John Stones and Ruben Dias in the pecking order.

Laporte was an unused substitute in the Champions League final and, according to Mundo Deportivo, he is considering a move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer.

The report indicates that Barcelona are admirers of the defender, who recently switched allegiance from France to Spain, and the Catalan giants are the side that most seduce him.

However, cash-strapped Barca have no chance of signing Laporte on the cheap, even if the player informs City of his desire to leave.

Ronald Koeman's men have already snapped up Eric Garcia and Sergio Aguero on free transfers from the Citizens this window.
