Paul Pogba hints at Manchester City move by praising Pep Guardiola's influence

Juventus star Paul Pogba hints that he could join Manchester City as he believes that he could learn from Pep Guardiola.

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has hinted that he could join Manchester City in the future because of his admiration for Pep Guardiola.

The Spanish coach will take charge at the Etihad Stadium in the summer following a three-year spell at Bayern Munich.

There have been reports that City are leading the race for Pogba after Barcelona pulled out of an £85m deal that was agreed for the summer.

Now, Pogba, who joined Juventus from Manchester United in 2012 on a free transfer, has suggested that he could one day work for Guardiola.

"He is a coach of with a lot of experience and has a great game philosophy," the Manchester Evening News quotes Pogba as saying.

"Therefore, he always has a great influence on his team. All the players respect him. You only have to look at him and you want to learn from him. I've heard that he improves every player. He is a football icon.

"Right now I am still with Juventus, but clearly if you have chance to work with someone like him, you can only develop further."

Pogba has also been linked to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
