Report: Nicolas Otamendi nearing Manchester City move

Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi is on the verge of a move to Manchester City, according to reports.

The 27-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with both City and rivals Manchester United said to be vying for his signature.

According to Valencian newspaper Las Provincias, Otamendi has been preparing for his move by bidding farewell to his teammates ahead of his arrival at the Etihad Stadium.

Otamendi joined Valencia last season and has made 35 La Liga appearances for the Southern Spain club.
