Milner: 'I'll stay if I play'

James Milner has said that he will stay at Manchester City, but only if is given playing time.

The 28-year-old was a key player in last season's title run-in and as a result has been offered a new contract by the Blues.

He is quoted as saying by the Manchester Evening News: "Basically I want to be here - as long as I'm playing. I love it here and hopefully I can be here for a long time to come.

"But that's determined on how much football I get. I just want to feel like I'm contributing. I played a fair amount last year - maybe not as many in the league as I would have liked but I felt I contributed to the trophies I won. That's what it's about."

Milner joined City in 2010 from Aston Villa and has won the title twice during his time with the club.
