Manchester City closes in on Alessio Cerci

Manchester City are said to be close to closing a deal for Fiorentina’s Alessio Cerci.

Reports in Italy are suggesting that the Serie A side has reached a £6.3m agreement with the Blues for the 23-year-old winger.

Cerci joined Fiorentina from Roma in August 2010, scoring seven goals in 24 league appearances last season.

Earlier today it emerged that Roberto Mancini has given up his attempts to acquire Alexis Sanchez from Udinese.
