Manchester City prepare Pepe bid?

Manchester City are reportedly preparing a renewed bid for Real Madrid defender Pepe.

City will be without Matija Nastasic for the first six weeks of the Premier League campaign after the Serbian defender suffered an ankle injury.

The absence of the 20-year-old has reignited their interest in Madrid's Portuguese international, with City readying a £20m bid, according to the Daily Mail.

City have already splashed out around £90m this summer for the attacking quartet of Jesus Navas, Alvaro Negredo, Stevan Jovetic and Fernandinho.
