Manchester City are believed to be in negotiations with Roma for midfielder David Pizarro.

The Premier League leaders have been quiet in the January window, despite being known for their big-money moves.

While manager Roberto Mancini has hinted that there will be little transfer movement, it is understood that the North West side are in talks over a loan deal for Pizarro, according to Sky Sports News.

The 32-year-old has been with the Italian side since 2006 and racked up 14 goals in 142 appearances for the Serie A side.
