Joe Royle: 'Paul Pogba not worth £70m'

Former Manchester City manager Joe Royle suggests that his old club would be paying too much for Paul Pogba if they splash out £70m for his services.

Former Manchester City manager Joe Royle has insisted that reported Sky Blues target Paul Pogba is not worth £70m.

It has been suggested that City are preparing a bid in the region of £70m for the Juventus midfielder.

Royle, though, admits that he is not convinced by Pogba's ability yet.

"To be honest I haven't quite seen a £70m player in Paul Pogba," he told talkSPORT. "I'm amazed about some of the figures.

"There's no doubt that, if you have Manchester United and Juventus on your CV, then you are top player. But £70m, wow, I haven't seen that to be honest."

Pogba joined Juventus from Manchester United in 2012.
