Incoming Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola wants eight new players in summer?

Pep Guardiola is reportedly targeting eight players to sign for Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

Incoming Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly targeting eight new players to bring to the Etihad Stadium during the summer transfer window.

The Spaniard, who will join City at the end of the season following a three-year spell in charge of Bayern Munich, has been linked to numerous players.

Everton centre-back John Stones and Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte are the latest to be touted as possible targets for Guardiola.

According to ESPN, the former Barcelona boss is expected to be handed £300m to spend when he arrives.

The report adds that Guardiola is eyeing two full-backs, two centre-backs, a central midfielder, a winger, a striker and a new goalkeeper, which has plunged Joe Hart's future into doubt.

Barcelona's Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Bayern's number one Manuel Neuer have been named as potential targets.
