Martin Demichelis to sign new Manchester City deal?

Martin Demichelis will reportedly sign a new 12-month contract with Manchester City in the near future.

The Argentine's current deal at the Etihad Stadium is due to expire at the end of the season.

However, despite the fact that the defender will turn 34 in December and the recent arrival of fellow centre-back Eliaquim Mangala for a reported £32m, City boss Manuel Pellegrini is keen to retain Demichelis's services for another campaign, according to The Mirror.

Demichelis joined the Premier League champions from Atletico Madrid in 2013.
