Daniele De Rossi to turn down Manchester City

Daniele De Rossi is expected to turn down a move to Manchester City and sign a new deal at Roma, according to his agent.

The 28-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

"De Rossi wants to stay at Roma, even though, as a professional, he wants to optimise his [financial] situation," said Claudio Pasqualin.

"My feeling is that an agreement will be reached."

De Rossi signed his first professional contract with Roma in 2001.
