Kevin De Bruyne in "no hurry" to sign new Manchester City deal

De Bruyne in "no hurry" to sign deal

Kevin De Bruyne has claimed that he is in no rush to put pen to paper on a new contract at Manchester City.

The Belgium international has been the standout player in Pep Guardiola's team, who are romping their way to the Premier League title.

The midfielder has scored six goals and created nine assists to help City earn a 15-point advantage in the race for the crown.

The North-West outfit are believed to be keen to tie De Bruyne down to a new deal, but as yet there has been no movement.

"We are still in negotiations," talkSPORT quotes the midfielder as saying. "I am waiting for an offer from the club but my agent has been on holiday for three weeks. There is nothing really new for the moment. I'm not in a hurry. I still have three-and-a-half years on the contract."

De Bruyne joined City from Wolfsburg in 2015.
