Manchester City to sign Brazilian youngster Douglas Luiz?

Manchester City reportedly secure the signature of Brazilian midfield hotshot Douglas Luiz in an £11m deal.

Manchester City have reportedly agreed a deal to sign young Brazilian hotshot Douglas Luiz.

The 19-year-old midfielder currently plies his trade for Vasco de Gama in the Brazilian Serie A, where he has scored three goals in his last 24 appearances.

According to Globoesporte, City have landed Luiz on an £11m deal and will send him out on loan for the 2017-18 season to their sister club Girona, who have just been promoted to the Spanish top flight.

Luiz is said to have been on the radar of City boss Pep Guardiola for more than a year and was scouted most recently during Vasco's 1-0 win over Atletico Goianiense on June 25.

The Brazilian Under-20s star had only signed a new four-year deal with the club in May.
