Agent: 'Javi Garcia going nowhere'

The agent of Javi Garcia has insisted that his client has no intention of leaving Benfica this summer.

Reports in Portugal have linked the holding midfielder with a move to Manchester City over the coming weeks.

However, his representative Manuel García Quillon has revealed that he has had no contact with anybody from the Premier League champions.

"I have had no contact from City," he told A Bola. "I have no proposal from England about Javi.

"He renewed with Benfica and we have nothing more to say. We do not have any club interested in him. He will continue at Benfica."

The 25-year-old joined Benfica in 2009 from Real Madrid.
