Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester City could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Leeds United.

Manchester City duo John Stones and Kyle Walker have been ruled out of Saturday's Premier League encounter away at Leeds United due to injury.

Stones was withdrawn in the 36th minute of City's 4-3 Champions League win over Real Madrid on Tuesday after aggravating a hamstring problem, which he initially sustained against Brighton & Hove Albion a week earlier.

Walker, meanwhile, has missed the last four matches across all competitions since twisting his ankle against Atletico Madrid, and the right-back, along with Stones, will not be involved at Elland Road.

The absence of both players will likely see Joao Cancelo start at right-back – the Portugal international did not feature in midweek due to a one-game European suspension – while Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte and Oleksandr Zinchenko could retain their places in the back four.

Kevin De Bruyne, who has been involved in eight goals in his last six Premier League appearances, is expected to keep his place in midfield, but Pep Guardiola may decide to hand both Ilkay Gundogan and Fernandinho a start in centre-midfield, which could see Bernardo Silva and Rodri drop to the bench.

In attack, the form of Gabriel Jesus – who has scored five goals in his last two games, including four in City's last league win over Watford – will likely see him retain his starting place, operating either down the middle or on the right flank.

Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez both joined the Brazilian in the three-man frontline against Real Madrid, but Jack Grealish and Raheem Sterling will be hoping to force their way into the starting lineup, after beginning on the bench in midweek.

Manchester City possible starting lineup: Ederson; Cancelo, Dias, Laporte, Zinchenko; Gundogan, Rodri, De Bruyne; Jesus, Sterling, Grealish
