Manchester City defender Kyle Walker says that Wolverhampton Wanderers deserved to earn a share of the spoils from the Premier League fixture between the clubs.

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has said that Wolverhampton Wanderers deserved to claim a point in Saturday's Premier League clash at Molineux.

Wolves took the lead when Willy Boly bundled the ball into the net with his hand, but Aymeric Laporte found City's equaliser as the champions hit the woodwork on three occasions.

Walker has acknowledged that City need to be more ruthless in the final third, but refused to take anything away from a determined display from Wolves.

The England international told Sky Sports News: "We created a lot of chances to put more than one past them. They are a well-organised team so I think it will be hard for teams to come here. They deserved the point.

"We had enough chances so we need to be more ruthless but as defenders we have to take responsibility for their goal.

"It is hard for the referees to see everything. We should have equalised at the end. We need to go again and hopefully we can get three points next week."

The result in the West Midlands takes City to the top of the standings ahead of the remaining weekend fixtures.
