Gordan Taylor reveals that he is "very disappointed" in Carlos Tevez and fears that there may be no way back for the Manchester City striker.

PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor has revealed that he is "very disappointed" by Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez's latest act of misconduct.

The Argentine missed training earlier today and instead returned to his homeland without City's permission.

Tevez's decision to leave the country without the club's consent follows his non-appearance in a Champions League match against Bayern Munich.

The PFA fought his corner on that occasion, resulting in a four-week fine imposed by City being cut in half.

However, this time Taylor believes that there may be no way back for the 27-year-old.

"To break an instruction not to go and to be determined to go is inviting trouble," Taylor told Sky Sports News.

"From that point of view, I believe there is going to be more trouble rather than peace in this situation.

"I do feel very disappointed to say the least, coming so soon when I was hoping things could move on. It's gone into reverse and now he is left in a position that becomes very vulnerable. I'm sure it's not only me, his advisors as well must be wondering where do we go from here?"

Tevez could now face a further fine or even have his contract terminated by City.
