Platt: 'Balotelli is an enigma'

Manchester City assistant boss David Platt has described Mario Balotelli as an "enigma".

Platt also revealed that despite reports to the contrary, the young Italian's attitude around the club has always been positive.

"His behaviour has always been good," Platt told a press conference. "I don't think he's a difficult player to manage.

"He's not somebody that sulks as such. He'll lose concentration but you can snap him straight out of it. He's an enigma."

Balotelli scored twice as Manchester City opened up a five-point lead at the top of the table with a 6-1 victory over Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
