Manuel Pellegrini: 'Manchester City not just about Sergio Aguero'

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini heaps praise on his players after they overcome Crystal Palace with a 3-0 victory in the Premier League.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has praised his side following their victory over Crystal Palace, insisting that the team isn't all about Sergio Aguero.

The Sky Blues earned a comfortable 3-0 victory at home to Neil Warnock's side, with David Silva grabbing a brace and Yaya Toure notching a late third just before the final whistle.

"It was a very good win. A very good performance. I enjoyed the way the team worked the whole week - to work in a different way without strikers," said Pellegrini, according to BBC Sport.

"Palace are a team who know how to defend. It was a great job to score three goals. They are also dangerous on the counter. We had two clear chances in the first half - the way we had chances is by moving the ball.

"David Silva is a top player with lots of quality. We are not just Sergio Aguero - we work hard every day. We have strikers out and Vincent Kompany is injured."

The victory sees City move level on points with Chelsea at the top of the table, but the London club now have a game in hand.
