Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville claims that Roberto Mancini's job has only just begun following the Blues' Premier League title win.

Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has claimed that Roberto Mancini's job at Manchester City will only get harder following the club's Premier League title win.

Sergio Aguero's late strike in a 3-2 victory over Queens Park Rangers at the Etihad Stadium clinched the championship for the Blues on a dramatic final day in the top flight.

However, Neville claims that staying at the summit of English football can often be more difficult than getting there.

"There'll be words bandied about in the next week. You'll hear the words 'dynasty', 'power shift' and 'domination'," he told Sky Sports News. "But do you know something? Mancini is sensible, he's level-headed and he'll realise his job starts now.

"The hard work starts now because to stay there is tough. You know United will come back and those issues that were there at Arsenal a few weeks ago don't just go away. You don't iron out creases permanently in three weeks.

"He's done an absolutely fantastic job because I think there's still some difficult characters in that dressing room, but he has the power and authority to control the dressing room now. He'll know the job starts now."

The title win was City's first in 44 years.
