Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy has lavished praise on manager Pep Guardiola.
Guardiola signed the Frenchman for £52m from Monaco last year, and the player has been a regular starter this season since returning from a long-term knee injury.
Despite reports of Guardiola punishing the 24-year-old for being late to training earlier this week, Mendy has complimented his boss on his progress with the Premier League champions.
"His intelligence! Mate, it's crazy! His way of understanding football, to see it and his vision, it's just incredible," Mendy told Onze Mondial.
"It's a pleasure to work with him. That's why I kill myself for him every game, because I want to give back everything he teaches us on a daily basis.
"The gameplans and the tactics are insane. And he wants us to call him Pep. He doesn't want us to call him boss or coach."
City currently sit top of the Premier League table and are unbeaten in their opening seven matches.
