Eliaquim Mangala "surprised" by PFA Team of the Year snub to Sergio Aguero

Eliaquim Mangala admits that he is "very surprised" that Sergio Aguero was not included in the PFA Team of the Year this season.

Eliaquim Mangala has expressed his shock that Manchester City teammate Sergio Aguero was not included in the PFA's Team of the Year.

The Argentine scored his 22nd goal of the Premier League season during City's 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The forward has scored more goals than Spurs starlet Harry Kane and Chelsea forward Diego Costa, both of whom were named in the Team of the Year last month.

"I am surprised he wasn't voted into the best team," The Express quotes Aguero as saying. "I see him every day in training, and in every game, and he has so much quality. He is amazing.

"He shows us every week what he is like in the Premier League and Champions League - he is so important for us. His goal was another big one at Tottenham. He has scored a lot of goals for this club, but will score a lot more."

Aguero has not been included in the last four teams of the season, despite scoring 103 goals in 161 matches in all competitions so far.
