Mancini pleased with Man City patience

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has revealed that he was pleased with his side's patience during Saturday's 2-1 victory at Fulham.

The Premier League champions had to wait until the final five minutes at Craven Cottage as Edin Dzeko came off the bench to score the winner.

"I think that we played a good game. To win the game we had a lot of chances, but it was a difficult match because we were 1-0 down. I'm very pleased with this," Mancini told BBC Sport.

"I was worried because we continued to play well and continued to create chances, but didn't score [until] 87 minutes. I was pleased for Edin to score such an important goal."

The triumph against the Cottagers ended a four-game winless streak for the Blues in all competitions.
