Carlos Tevez is now likely to remain at Manchester City, according to manager Roberto Mancini.
The Argentine international had asked to leave the club earlier this summer to be closer to his children and saw a move to Brazilian side Corinthians fall through in July.
However, the 27-year-old's family has now joined him in Manchester and Mancini expects that Tevez will stay with the club.
"His family is here now. Now that his family is here I think that he can stay," said the manager.
"I think this is a good moment for this club. Carlos is one of the best players that we have."
Tevez made his first appearance of the season during City's 3-2 victory away at Bolton Wanderers last Sunday.
