Roberto Mancini compares Samir Nasri to Xavi

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has compared midfielder Samir Nasri to Barcelona's Xavi.

Mancini, who watched the Frenchman grab the winning goal against Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium last night, insists that he can still improve as the club continue their chase of league leaders Manchester United.

"Samir did well but he can do better," the Italian told reporters. "He can improve.

"He is a top player. If he plays like this he can be like David Silva or Xavi if he plays."

The Citizens next travel to the Britannia Stadium to take on Stoke City on Saturday.
