Manchester City yet to hear from Carlos Tevez

Manchester City have revealed that they have yet to hear from Carlos Tevez after the striker missed training to fly to Argentina without the club's permission.

A representative for the striker has said that Tevez tried to contact manager Roberto Mancini but was unsuccessful in his attempts.

The 27-year-old was recently punished by the club after he refused to warm up during a Champions League match against Bayern Munich in September.

"We have asked Carlos to get in touch today but have not yet heard from him," said a City spokesman.

Tevez reportedly has until Monday to get in touch with the club.
