Manchester City join Javi Martinez hunt

Manchester City have joined the hunt for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez.

The 23-year-old has also been targeted by Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool, according to the Daily Mail.

However, the Spain Under-21s captain has a £34m buy-out clause in his current deal with the La Liga side.

Martinez pulled out of the senior squad for their upcoming friendlies against England and Costa Rica due to a muscle injury.
