Stevan Jovetic has insisted that he never considered leaving Manchester City during a difficult spell after joining the club from Fiorentina in the summer.
The 24-year-old struggled with injuries for the first half of his debut season in England but claims that the spell on the sidelines did not encourage him to seek a move back to Italy.
"I read many rumours about a possible return to Italy, but after only six months in which I had three months of injuries," Jovetic told Sky Sport Italia.
"I have not thought to return. I want to stay here and prove myself with Manchester City.
"Do I miss Italy and Florence? Yeah, I lived there for five years, Florence is a beautiful city and I have many friends there. But I'm not saying I want to come back, I'm fine here."
City spent a reported £22m to secure Jovetic's services last July.
