Stevan Jovetic feeling confident at Manchester City

Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic has revealed that he is full of confidence ahead of the new season.

The 24-year-old joined City from Fiorentina last summer, but a series of injuries saw him struggle during his debut campaign in the Premier League.

However, the Montenegro international is now keen to show the club's fans what he is capable of after receiving the backing of manager Manuel Pellegrini.

"I know I'm good, I know I can play here," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "In the last few months of the season, when I was fit, I played well, every game.

"I have the manager's confidence and I feel stronger. I hope now the City fans will see the real Jovetic."

Jovetic scored six goals in 18 games for Manchester City during the 2013-14 campaign.
