Edin Dzeko has revealed that the Manchester City players are looking forward to the new Premier League campaign following their victory in the Barclays Asia Trophy.
The Blues picked up their first piece of silverware under manager Manuel Pellegrini on Saturday as they defeated Sunderland 1-0 in Hong Kong, thanks to Dzeko's goal.
"We had a good pre-season with the new manager and all of us are definitely looking forward to the Premier League," the Bosnian told Sky Sports News. "We want to achieve some good things next season."
City will now travel to Germany where their pre-season preparations will continue in the Audi Cup at the end of the month.
