Defender Danilo has described Manchester City's performances this season as "delightful" after the club were crowned Premier League champions at the weekend.
Manchester United's 1-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion means that City have wrapped up the top-flight crown with five games remaining, and the North-West side will now look to achieve a record points total in the Premier League.
Danilo only moved to the Etihad Stadium last summer, but the Brazilian international says that life at the English club has 'matched his expectations'.
The 26-year-old told the club's official website: "That was one of the reason I signed with Manchester City – for the project itself, for the players, the coach and ambition to win big titles. The Premier League is one of the biggest leagues in the world, the one with more credit, so we really wanted to win it. It matched the expectations."
"I think the way we played was delightful. The truth is we've tried to bring a different way to play that Pep proposed to us. We've shown an aggressive side and beautiful side where we are looking to score, to win, and that gave us and advantage in most games."
Danilo has made 22 starts and 12 substitute outings during the current campaign.
