Mario Balotelli out of Italy squad

Manchester City Mario Balotelli has pulled out of Italy's squad for their friendly clash with England on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old, who missed City's 3-2 Community Shield win over Chelsea on Sunday, has been suffering with conjunctivitis in recent weeks.

However, the Italian is expected to be available for City's Premier League opener against Southampton on Sunday.

Italy have called up Udinese forward Diego Fabbrini as a replacement.
