Sergio Aguero limps off with early injury at Etihad Stadium

Manchester City's 19-goal top goalscorer Sergio Aguero limps off after just three minutes of their Premier League clash with Everton at the Etihad Stadium.

Sergio Aguero has given Manuel Pellegrini cause for concern by limping off in the early stages of Manchester City's Premier League clash with Everton.

The Argentine went down following a third-minute collision with Muhamed Besic and was assessed both on the pitch and on the touchline before being withdrawn.

While holding his left thigh, a grimacing Aguero, who has 19 goals in 20 games in all competitions this season, went down the Etihad Stadium tunnel soon after being replaced by Jose Angel Pozo.

Manuel Pellegrini chose the 18-year-old forward to come off the bench, despite having Edin Dzeko, who was recalled to the squad following a month out with a calf problem, back among his substitutes.

Aguero appears to be a major doubt for City's crucial Champions League tie with Roma on Wednesday. The champions follow that match with Premier League games against Leicester City and Crystal Palace.
