Man City injury, suspension list vs. Burnley

Manchester City will be bidding to make it eight straight wins in all competitions when they welcome Burnley to the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

Pep Guardiola's side recorded a 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Friday night, but they have not been in league action since the 3-2 success at Newcastle United on January 13.

The Citizens are currently second in the Premier League table, five points behind division leaders Liverpool with a game in hand.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Burnley, who are currently 19th in the division.

Haaland has been missing since the start of December with a "bone stress reaction" in his foot, but the Norway international is expected to make his long-awaited return against Burnley this week.

Akanji picked up a knee problem against Huddersfield Town in the FA Cup on January 7, and he has been unavailable since, but the defender has a slight chance of making his return here.
