Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Swansea City

Man City injury, suspension list vs. Swansea

Two teams in great form meet in the FA Cup last 16 on Wednesday evening as Manchester City make the trip to Swansea City.

The Citizens beat Liverpool 4-1 on Sunday to make it 14 victories in a row in all competitions.

Pep Guardiola's men sit five points clear at the top of the Premier League with a game in hand and are favourites to win the FA Cup.

Swansea will not make life easy for their opponents, however, as they have gone 10 games without defeat, winning eight of those.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their midweek trip to South Wales.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: February 27 (vs. West Ham United)

City have been without Kevin De Bruyne, arguably their most important player, since January 20 due to a hamstring issue. Guardiola does not expect the playmaker to be back until the end of February.

Sergio Aguero

Status: Out Type of injury: Coronavirus Possible return date: Unknown

Sergio Aguero has endured a frustrating 12 months, with his latest layoff coming as a result of contracting coronavirus. The Argentina international returned to training last week, but he is still a fortnight away from reaching match fitness.

Nathan Ake

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscular Possible return date: Unknown

Summer signing Nathan Ake has been absent with a muscular issue and is not believed to be close to making a return to the matchday squad. The Dutchman has made just nine appearances in all competitions this term.

Kyle Walker

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Muscular Possible return date: February 10 (vs. Swansea City)

Kyle Walker has been in and out of the side of late due to a niggling injury issue. The full-back played no part against Liverpool at the weekend, though he could be back in time for this trip to the Liberty Stadium.
