Ruben Dias edges Edinson Cavani, Edouard Mendy as Premier League Signing of the Season

Manchester City centre-back Ruben Dias has been named as the Premier League Signing of the Season in the Sports Mole Reader Awards.

The 24-year-old joined City for a fee of around £61m last summer and went on to play an integral role in them regaining the Premier League title.

Dias was named the FWA Football of the Year, while he was also voted the Premier League Defender of the Season by our readers.

The defender has now picked up his second gong in the end-of-season awards, pipping Chelsea's Edouard Mendy and Manchester United's Edinson Cavani to be named Signing of the Season.

Dias ended with 27.5% of the votes, while Mendy and Cavani both picked up 21.3%.

West Ham United loan signing Jesse Lingard finished in fourth with 11.2% of the votes, while Emiliano Martinez caps off the top five with 4.5%.
