Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester City could line up for Tuesday's Champions League group-stage clash with Sevilla.

Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker will not be available for Tuesday's Champions League Group G opener with Sevilla at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

The 32-year-old came off with an unspecified issue 10 minutes prior to the full-time whistle against Aston Villa at the weekend, and he is joined at home by John Stones and his own injury.

The Premier League champions are already working without Aymeric Laporte (knee), but Pep Guardiola will hope to have Kalvin Phillips back from a shoulder injury here.

Walker is unlikely to be risked either way, so Joao Cancelo could revert to his former right-back role as Nathan Ake and new signing Sergio Gomez battle it out to start on the left.

Ake was selected to replace Walker at the weekend and therefore has a better chance of coming into the first XI alongside Ruben Dias and Manuel Akanji, who is set to make his debut in place of the injured Stones.

Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan are unlikely to cede their places in the middle, but Guardiola may opt to reshuffle his attacking line amid the busy fixture schedule.

Erling Braut Haaland - who scored his 10th Premier League goal at the weekend - should lead the charge as ever, but Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva may be replaced by Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrez, while Julian Alvarez is also pining for more opportunities.

Man City possible starting lineup: Ederson; Cancelo, Dias, Akanji, Ake; Gundogan, Rodri, De Bruyne; Mahrez, Haaland, Grealish
