UEFA and Manchester City officials reportedly deny reports that CSKA Moscow have asked the English outfit not to train on the pitch at the Khimki Arena.

UEFA and Manchester City have reportedly rejected reports that the Premier League outfit have been asked by CSKA Moscow not to train at the Khimki Arena due to concerns over the pitch.

Claims of a rift between CSKA and City emerged overnight following rumours that the Russian outfit refused the English club access to the pitch to train ahead of their Champions League encounter tomorrow.

However, UEFA and City senior officials have denied reports of a rift, claiming that manager Manuel Pellegrini will lead a training session with his team at the Khimki Arena this afternoon, according to Sky Sports News.

The pitch was deemed unplayable three weeks ago due to persistent rain, but a UEFA pitch inspection was passed last weekend.
